On behalf of a consortium comprising acatech, Fraunhofer IEM, the Heinz Nixdorf Institut, RWTH Aachen, and the Industrie 4.0 Maturity Center, we developed the complete corporate design and UI design for the acatech Maturity Hub Smart Services. At the heart of the platform is a comprehensive quick assessment that helps companies determine their current maturity level in the smart service transformation across 6 design fields, each with 2 underlying principles.

A stepped hexagon serves as the unifying visual element throughout the entire website: it visualizes the maturity level, structures the assessment, illustrates the composition of the Maturity Index, and frames the presentation of the development team. In the custom illustrations, the hexagon transforms into the base of an isometric interior perspective, giving each design field a distinctive visual identity.
